Why does that not surprise me?

Today was the big day - the guys from Comcast were here to install our new broadband internet. The story to getting that was quite interesting:

This is Silicon Valley - home of Apple, Google, and hundreds of technology companies. You'd think it would be easy to find the best internet providers, the best service, the most modern installations in this area. Reality? It's hard. Comcast wants to sell you cable and is hesitant to provide just internet - by making it ridiculously expensive to get it alone. AT&T? Same. Verizon? Same. Others? Not better.

So, where does that leave us?
